Conference Materials and Global Exposure

After the conference inauguration & Technical session, you may head to Jalan Surabaya Flea Market at Menteng. Here you will find a huge range of goods including arts and crafts, miles of textiles, and even food items. Other places to visit include: National Museum, Glodok (Jakarta’s Chinatown), Kota Kua.

After the technical Session, you have the rest of the day free. The best places for a day trip outside of Jakarta are Thousand Islands & Tangkuban Parahu Volcano. The best way to enjoy the islands is to take a boat tour which will let you hop from one island to another and allow you to take in all the best sights at the same time. On the way to the Volcano (which is still active), you will pass through a vast expanse of tea plantations & local villages with rice fields around it. Do not miss to relax & soak in a hot spring whose water comes from the Crater of Tangkuban Parahu Volcano. Upon return, dinner will be served at the Hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport by cab.
